#WDYTYA airs tonight on TLC

First episode of the new season to feature Kelly Clarkson

Facebook, G+ and Twitter have been buzzing about the first episode of the new season of "Who Do You Think You Are?" on TLC for weeks, and the day has finally come.

Tonight the first episode will air at 8pm Central on the TLC network. Featuring Kelly Clarkson, country music star, the episode has been available for about a week via iTunes and Amazon.com.

Those of us at Conference Keeper and The In-Depth Genealogist have paired up again to bring a very special #genchat to the Twitter stream during the airing of the show (based on the central time zone). We'll be casually chatting with our special co-host The NextGen Genealogy Network as we watch, react and enjoy seeing the story unfold.

After the show, join us on G+ for a very special LIVE hangout on air to discuss the episode in greater detail. We have a wonderful panel arranged, and the conversation will be live streamed via The In-Depth Genelaogist YouTube channel for unlimited viewing.

Friday, May 10 is a very special #genchat! We’ll be coming to you LIVE! from the 2013 NGS Family History Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada… but wait! There’s more!

We are grateful to the conference planning committee and NGS for allowing us to have the ultimate social media social event! We’ll be hosting #genchat from the Internet Café in the conference hall! This means that all #genchatters attending the conference will be able to sit down face to face, utilize the complimentary internet provided by NGS, FamilySearch and Findmypast, and chat both in person and on Twitter.

We’re very excited to be able to do this, and hope that many of our #genchat friends will join us. New to Twitter chats? That’s ok! We’d love to show you how it works, help you through the process and introduce you to our awesome little community!

Join us for #genchat on April 26 to discuss Oral Histories & Interviews, with our Special Guest, Susan Kitchens!

Susan is the author of the blog, "Family Oral History Using Digital Tools." From her homepage;

The first ever genealogy Twitter Chat - known as #genchat - will be held tomorrow evening, Friday 25 Jan 2013 at 9pm CST.

All interested are welcome to join us, and participate in the discussion, based on "Starting Your 2013 Research in the Right Way." We'll be talking about how you research, what you might find in a research plan, different tactics to get around those tough problems and much more.

New to Twitter Chat's? No problem. Think of this as an online cocktail party. We chat, we ask questions, we get to know each other, we have fun, and hopefully, we will all walk away having learned a little something.
